Types of U.S. work visas

If you are not a citizen of the United States and want to seek employment here, you will need to apply for a visa.  There are several different types of work visas available to eligible applicants in two general categories: Nonimmigrant visas are issued to temporary workers who plan to stay in the U.S. for a specified period of time. Immigrant visas are granted for permanent employment.  These applicants have certain skills, education, and work experience.
